Poem thingy

August 3, 2009

Dreamprint

I was dreaming about the light

and the dark

and the divine

on the edge of something wonderful –

and writing poetry,

but it slipped my grasp

along with so many other things

dancing just along the edge of my

consciousness

nearly gone from my memory –

a trace is left –

like the faint waft of apples and cinnamon or cologne –

the barest hint of an impression –

of what could have been.

Oooh, nice, Eileen. I like it. The poem you wrote is probably better than what slipped your grasp.

    How ARE you?

So sweet of you to say Mimi! This poem was all that was left..I was really dreaming the other thing, and it was gone when I woke up, but not the desire to just write something.

I’m doing ok….hanging in there as I like to say.
