Spookyrach at Skewed View via Mad Priest

I’m sweating.

The band, btw, is called Texas, and the song is called, Demand.

I know what I want to demand…

I’ve watched this video a few times now, and I’m liking the lyrics – they are speaking to me. Loudly, actually.

Texas – In Demand Lyrics

When we were together I was blown away
Just like paper from a fan
But you would act like I was just a kid
Like we were never gonna lastBut now I’ve got someone who cares for me, (yeah)
Wrote my name in silver sands
I think you know you’ve lost the love of your life
(You said) I was the best you’ve ever had

Because I’m in demand, (hey)
You’re thinking of the way you should’ve of held my (hand)
And all the times you’d say you didn’t understand
You never had our love written in your (plans)
But now I’m in demand

I never think you saw the best of me (ahh haa haa haa)
There’s a side you’ll never know
‘Cos love and loving are two different things (ahh haa haa haa)
Set your sights far too low

But now I’ve got someone who cares for me, (yeah)
He wrote my name in silver sands
I think you know you’ve lost the love of your life
(You said) I was the best you’ve ever had

Because I’m in demand (hey)
You’re thinking of the way you should’ve held my (hand)
And all the times you’d say you didn’t understand
You never had our love written in your plans
But now I’m in demand

You’re thinking of the way you should’ve held my (hand)
And all the times you’d say you didn’t understand
You never had our love written in your (plans)
But now I’m in demand

It’s only when I fall asleep
I see that winning smile
When my dreams just move along
You’ve lost the race by miles

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Stay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Because I’m in demand
You’re thinking of the way you should’ve of held my (hand)
And all the times you’d say you didn’t understand
You never had our love written in your (plans)
But now I’m in demand, (yeah)

You know I’m in demand
(Say you’re in demand)
You know I’m in demand, (yeah)
Always in demand, (yeah)
Never had our love written in your plans
You know I’m in demand

I’d mambo with Alan Rickman at a gas station. Seems reasonable.

I just want to sit in the back seat with him and let him stroke my hair and kiss the top of my head…Yeah.

They could use this as adverts for dance studios.

    I mean…DAMN…

I think my car needs to be refueled. In England. As soon as possible.

    Oh God.

Makes notes…Rickman does NOTHING for the gay man….

Rickman does lots of interesting things for the hetero woman.

(Palifem is glad she won’t have to fight off her beloved KJ for Rickman – the rest of these women though…Hmmmm..That’s a problem.)

I am so jealous! I can only dream, because I cannot see the video. Haven’t we gone down this Alan Rickman road together before over at MP’s? 😉

Yes. Getting my gas tank filled will never again be just another boring thing that has to be done. Now it will be a boring thing that has to be done and leaves me breathless with longing for what it could be …

AR could make this bi-girl go straight. I’d have to get past Rima Horton, however. Been addicted to “the voice” for awhile now.
